HALTPOP is a volunteer-run festival with a deep passion for alternative live music. Think punk, metal, ska and everything with a bit of an edge.

Across two days, we bring a deliberate mix of local talent and international acts. That way, new artists get a stage while great bands land right in your backyard.

Accessibility, sustainability and community are at the heart of what we do. Whether you are having a good conversation over a drink, sitting in the sun or standing in the pit: there is room for everyone.

What started more than twenty years ago in a community center has grown into the festival it is today. The core never disappeared: still independent, volunteer-powered, a little anarchistic — and above all: punk.
