Bar
You make sure the visitors who come to the bar walk away satisfied. Tapping, pouring, dispensing, you do it all. You also replenish the refrigerators and other items. But above all you make sure the bar is the nicest place to be! During your shift you work on our bar with the nicest team and nicest team lead. You will be a point of contact for the festival visitors and you will create the atmosphere!
For the catering shifts we ask you to obtain a Responsible Alcohol Serving certificate, which teaches you how to deal with certain situations. Please note: for a shift in the festival bar you must be at least 18 years old.
Merchandise
As a merchandiser, you will sell Haltpop items such as T-shirts, sunglasses and ponchos. Together with another merchandiser you will stand behind the merchandise stand. These stands are also filled by artists during the festival - depending on the artist, you may be asked to sell their merchandise too, if they can't do it themselves. You are a point of contact for questions from the public, as well as for the artists, about selling merchandise. At this booth it is always fun!
Grounds / Runner
Many things can happen “all of a sudden” during the festival, such as a fence line adjustment, restocking the toilet paper, or changing a keg in the bar. On the grounds/runner shift, you'll ensure flawless solutions and are ready to lend a hand to your fellow volunteers. This shift is flexible, fun and challenging. You always work together with a few other hands!
Hospitality
You are not easily starstruck, know how to have a chat, can quickly find solutions and create an incredibly cozy atmosphere backstage! That is why you are the contact person for the artists. Together with the hospitality team you support the artists, make sure the dressing rooms are in order and that every artist feels welcome, has a great time and goes home or continues the tour with a satisfied feeling.
Entrance
As a scanner at the entrance, you are the first Haltpop-face the visitors will encounter. It's your job to turn their visit to Haltpop into an unforgettable experience, right at the entrance to the festival. With a big smile you will scan the tickets, hand out wrist bands and recycle tokens and wish everyone a pleasant day at Haltpop.
Oh, and don't worry about difficult visitors or visitation of bags, security is standing right by your side.
Assembly and disassembly
You will work with the set-up team to make sure that all items get to the right place. You will help place the fence line, build up the bar and put all supplies and decoration in the right place. The construction takes several days, it is possible to help part of the days. If you help for several days, it is possible to camp on the festival site with your fellow builders.
During the construction, food and drinks are provided. We also do fun things together in the evenings, like playing games or swimming. The construction days are perfect to get to know your fellow volunteers and to enjoy the festival in advance.
Of course everything has to be taken down and cleaned up after the festival. Together with the dismantling crew you will make sure that everything disappears from the grounds quickly.
If you can only help build up the festival or if you can only help dismantle it, please indicate this on the registration form. It is not required to be there for the entire construction and dismantling. All hands are welcome. If you have a valid forklift certificate, please let us know when you sign up.
